Face à la multiplication des attaques contre des civils et des forces de sécurité dans le nord et le centre du Mali, le chef d’État-major général des armées a interdit jeudi la circulation des motos et des pick-up dans plusieurs cercles des régions de Ségou, Mopti et Tombouctou.
La situation sécuritaire ne cesse de se dégrader ces derniers jours dans le centre et le nord du Mali. La semaine dernière, en 72 heures, près de 50 personnes – 26 civils et 18 soldats – ont été tuées dans différentes attaques à Boni, Soumpi, ou encore Ménaka. Un bilan très lourd, qui a conduit les responsables militaires maliens à prendre une décision drastique : l’interdiction de circuler à moto ou à pick-up dans plusieurs cercles des régions de Ségou, Mopti, et Tombouctou.
Cette mesure a été annoncée dans un communiqué signé le 1er février par le général Moussa Keïta, le chef d’état-major général des armées. Plusieurs cercles du Centre régulièrement visés par des attaques de groupes jihadistes sont concernés, comme ceux du Macina, de Mopti, ou encore de Ténenkou. Les cercles de Niafunké, où a eu lieu l’attaque qui a tué 14 soldats à Soumpi, et de Douentza, où une mine a tué 26 civils Maliens et Burkinabè.
