Mondial 2018: un explosif Nigeria – Cameroun à l’affiche

Démarrée jeudi, la 3ème journée des éliminatoires pour la Coupe du monde de football 2018 se poursuit vendredi et samedi avec notamment un explosif Nigeria – Cameroun au programme.

 

 

Groupe A : Ayant jusque-là fait le plein, la Tunisie et la RD Congo vont en découdre à Tunis puis à Kinshasa. Le vainqueur de ce double face-à-face sera en pole-position pour la qualification au Mondial 2018. Après deux revers de suite, la Guinée a obtenu sa première victoire en dominant difficilement la Libye (3-2).

 

Groupe B : Le Nigeria, qui a engrangé deux succès de suite, a l’opportunité d’enchaîner face au Cameroun (2 pts) qu’il reçoit à Uyo avant de se déplacer à Yaoundé. Une double victoire propulserait les « Super Eagles » en Russie. L’Algérie et la Zambie (1 point chacune), qui s’affrontent, n’ont plus leur destin en main.

 

Groupe C : Leader du groupe avec 4 points, la Côte d’Ivoire peut profiter de sa double confrontation avec un Gabon, pas au mieux de sa forme et privé de Pierre Emarick Aubameyang, pour engranger six points et s’approcher de la qualification. Le Maroc, qui accuse un retard de deux points sur la Côte d’Ivoire, a intérêt à ne pas lâcher de points face à une formation du Mali (1 pt) qui abat ses dernières cartes.

 

Groupe D : Distancé d’un point par le Burkina et l’Afrique du Sud, le Sénégal a intérêt à gérer au mieux ses deux face-à-face avec les Etalons, à commencer par celui de ce samedi à Dakar. L’Afrique du Sud, qui se déplace à Praia avant de recevoir le Cap-Vert, l’équipe la plus faible du groupe, peut profiter du double choc sénégalo-burkinabé.

 

Groupe E :

 

Après deux succès de suite, l’Egypte a connu un coup d’arrêt à Kampala où elle s’est l’incliné 1-0 face à l’Ouganda qui, du coup, prend la tête du groupe avec 1 point d’avance sur sa victime du jour.

 

Avec un seul point pris jusque-là, le Ghana, qui reçoit le Congo ce vendredi à Kumasi, a intérêt à l’emporter pour ne pas être davantage distancé par le duo de tête.
