Emmanuel Macron à l’ONU: “Les opérations militaires doivent cesser, l’accès humanitaire doit être assuré…”

Le président de la République Emmanuel Macron s’est exprimé à New York lors de l’Assemblée générale de l’ONU. Voici les principaux points de son discours.

Sur l’accord en Iran

 Dénoncer l’accord sur le nucléaire iranien, comme menacent de le faire les Etats-Unis, serait “une lourde erreur”, a lancé mardi à l’ONU le président français Emmanuel Macron, tout en laissant la porte ouverte à des discussions pour prolonger la portée du texte après 2025.

“Notre engagement sur la non prolifération a permis d’obtenir un accord solide, robuste, qui permet de vérifier que l’Iran ne se dotera pas de l’arme nucléaire. Le dénoncer aujourd’hui sans rien proposer d’autre serait une lourde erreur, ne pas le respecter serait irresponsable, parce que c’est un accord utile”, a déclaré M. Macron.

Sur le climat

Emmanuel Macron a déclaré mardi à l’ONU que l’accord de Paris sur le climat “ne sera pas renégocié”, tout en assurant que “la porte sera(it) toujours ouverte” aux Etats-Unis pour un retour dans l’accord.

“Cet accord ne sera pas renégocié, il nous lie” (…) nous ne reculerons pas”, a déclaré le président français, ajoutant qu’il “respecte profondément la décision des Etats-Unis” et que “la porte leur sera toujours ouverte” mais que les autres Etats continueraient “à mettre en oeuvre l’accord de Paris”

Sur la Syrie

Le président français Emmmanuel Macron a plaidé mardi devant l’Assemblée générale des Nations unies pour la création d’un groupe de contact sur la Syrie afin d’enclencher une nouvelle dynamique pour aller vers une solution politique au conflit.

Le processus de négociations mené à Astana au Kazakhstan, par Moscou, Téhéran et Ankara, “ne suffit pas”, a-t-il ajouté. Le groupe de contact voulu par la France intégrerait les cinq membres permanents du Conseil de sécurité de l’ONU et “les parties prenantes” au conflit, a précisé Emmanuel Macron.

Sur le sort des Rohingyas en Birmanie

Le président français Emmanuel Macron a dénoncé mardi devant l’ONU le “nettoyage ethnique” contre la minorité musulmane des Rohingyas, dont plus de 400.000 ont fui la Birmanie ces dernières semaines pour se réfugier au Bangladesh.

“Les opérations militaires doivent cesser, l’accès humanitaire doit être assuré, et le droit rétabli, face à ce qui est, nous le savons, un nettoyage ethnique”, a déclaré M. Macron qui s’exprimait pour la première fois devant l’Assemblée générale de l’ONU.
