Sénégal: passe d’armes entre le procureur et Khalifa Sall lors de son procès

Suite du procès de Khalifa Sall au tribunal de Dakar. Soupçonné de détournements de deniers publics, le maire de Dakar a évoqué à la barre un procès politique et affirmé qu’il n’avait jamais détourné d’argent, mais hérité de fonds politiques. Ce mercredi 7 février au matin, il a été confronté au procureur de la République et les échanges ont été houleux. Compte rendu d’audience.

L’audience a clairement dérapé ce mercredi matin, obligeant le juge Lamotte à faire taire tout le monde. Interrogé par le procureur Bassirou Gueye sur la caisse d’avance de la ville de Dakar, Khalifa Sall répond que « l’existence des fonds politiques est indéniable ».

« Moi je le nie », réplique le procureur qui poursuit : « Pour l’avenir on doit croire qui ? ». Khalifa Sall contre-attaque : « Pourquoi n’avez-vous pas instruit à décharge ? Vous ne m’avez pas posé une seule question qui m’aurait permis de m’expliquer ».

« Je ne veux pas répondre à cette question, indique le procureur. Je pose des questions pour que tout soit clair afin que je puisse rentrer chez moi et dormir tranquille ». « Visiblement, c’est que vous avez un problème » rétorque Khalifa Sall.
