Une ruelle sablonneuse mène au domicile des Sambou, au quartier Djeddah à Yeumbeul Sud. La maison fait face à la forêt classée de Mbao. Ce jour, un calme plat y règne. Dans une des chambres, Bintou Sambou est couchée sur un matelas, à même le sol. Elle est recouverte d’un drap. À côté, le téléphone ne cesse de sonner. «Là, j’ai des vertiges. Presque un mois après mon agression, je continue de subir les séquelles. Tout mon corps me fait mal», lance-t-elle d’emblée, à peine les salutations d’usage faites.
Le 25 février dernier, la jeune fille a été victime d’une agression atroce, qui a failli tourner au drame. Ses agresseurs ont voulu l’égorger. En attestent les cicatrices autour de son cou. «Ils (les agresseurs) m’avaient repéré. Chaque jour ils me trouvaient là où j’attendais le véhicule. Un jour de vendredi, ils m’ont interpelé, en me demandant d’aller avec eux. Nous sommes partis ensemble. Mais il y avait un homme derrière, nous et un autre devant. Ils partaient tous au travail. Peut-être à cause de ça, ils ne m’ont rien fait.
Jusqu’au niveau des rails, nous nous sommes séparés. Le samedi, ils sont revenus, mais je ne suis pas partie avec eux. Le dimanche aussi, ils sont venus et m’ont trouvé sur place. Ils m’ont demandé d’aller avec eux. J’ai refusé. Mais après insistance, nous sommes partis ensemble. Ce jour, il y avait une coupure d’électricité. Il faisait sombre. Arrivés au niveau du terrain, à côté des rails, le plus élancé m’a étranglé. Je suis tombée allongée, le ventre contre le sol. Il s’est assis sur mon dos. L’autre a pris mes mains.
Je ne pouvais faire aucun geste ni crier. Celui qui était assis sur moi, a demandé à son ami de lui donner le couteau. Ils ont tenté de m’égorger comme un mouton (voir blessure sur photo). Mais, je me suis débattue jusqu’à neutraliser l’arme blanche. J’ai lancé le couteau jusqu’à plus de 5m. C’est dans ces circonstances de situation retournée qu’ils ont détalé en prenant la fuite, à la vue des passants qui s’approchaient. Ils ont emporté mon sac avec eux», raconte B. Sambou, la voie tremblotante.

Bintou travaille à Yarakh. Elle se lève chaque jour à 5 heures du matin pour ne pas arriver en retard. Les cicatrises sont encore visibles autour de son cou. Effrayée, terrifiée, sous le choc, même si Bintou est sauvée, son traumatisme psychique est là. Elle a peur. Elle a du mal à réaliser ce qu’elle a vécu. «Je n’ai jamais cru que ces jeunes sont des agresseurs et qu’ils avaient ourdi un plan pour me liquider. Je ne les connaissais pas avant. Mais ils avaient commencé à gagner ma confiance. Cependant, aujourd’hui j’ai peur. Ma vie est même en danger, car je les reconnais et ils me reconnaissent eux aussi. Je les croise dans les rues. Je demande de l’aide de la part des autorités», soupire B. Sambou.
