Le professeur est en vie et en bonne santé. Cependant, il est en deuil car son homonyme a été rappelé à Dieu ce vendredi 22 juin. L’inhumation a eu lieu à Touba le même jour.

Suite aux supputations de ces dernières heures sur un éventuel décès du Professeur Iba Der Thiam, la Commission Communication de l’Histoire Générale du Sénégal vous informe que c’est son homonyme qui est décédé ce matin et a été enterré à Touba tout à l’heure.
