That was a great post. My take on bullying is that the bullies are insecure and usually ignorant to what they don't understand and need to make themselves comfortable by ridiculing it. Growing up in upstate New York, I got used to being stared or laughed at, and it still happens living in NYC. But I just take it as a compliment.
