Eric,Excellent analysis. I agree with you on everything here, even my pick of Willy Tavarez. I guess the thinking here was that he is a 60+ SB threat and that alone makes him valuable. I also think he could score 100 runs in this offense if given the opportunity to play every day, which it seems like he will. However, I probably could have gotten him a round or two later and I could have picked a better power option or closer at that point to help me in some of the categories I was lacking in.
Steve / The level of the performances was scandalously bad. Not only McCartney, but the two gentleman doing vocals were often off-key. McCartney’s voice sounded pretty bad and the mix had the instrumentals louder than the vocals — perhaps for a very good reason. I was surprised that the awful performances did not generate more of a buzz in the media.
