1. Fall is a welcome relief from the hot and humid summers we have here in Florida. The nights are a bit chilly but the afternoons are splendid. There’s a light breeze and the temperature is around eighty with loads of sunshine. I’m at the beach as often as possible!

2. I drink flavored water. Sometimes its as simple as adding lemon and lime slices to a pitcher of water and letting it sit in the fridge over night (there are quite a few flavored water recipes on pinterest too). I also like the True Lemon Lemonade and Raspberry Lemonade packets. Just 5 calories a piece, all natural (no artificial sweetners) and measured to perfectly flavor a 16 oz. water bottle. I carry a reusable water bottle everywhere. I find I drink WAAAAYYYYY more water when it is flavored.

3. You’re precisely right, Court. Just because I’m now on the “inside” doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten how “rigged” the system is, I’m just trying to use it to my advantage now. There is always the option of being an “independent scholar,” but of course that takes means and being independently wealthy, a luxury most of us do not have.

4. My aunt works in a school very close to where it happened. When the info first got to us, we were not sure where it was. Then came relief to know she was fine then realization that relief never came for many families. I am holding on tight to my kids. Especially today after being yelled at by a father of a child my 3 year old pushed while playing. We apologized but it was not enough. Why so much anger? Why so much pain? Hugs to all.
