L’entraineur de l’Atéltico est notamment revenu sur la difficulté de s’exprimer dans un championnat globalement dominé par le FC Barcelone et le Real Madrid :
“Sur les 14 dernières années, le Real Madrid ou le Barça ont toujours remporté le championnat, sauf une année où nous l’avons gagné. Et sur ces mêmes années, seul Villarreal est arrivé deuxième en 2008. Nous sommes dans un championnat impossible si vous n’êtes ni le Real ni le Barça.
