Depuis le 2 juin dernier, la mer a tué 40 personnes à Dakar. Ces cas de noyade mortels ont été révélés par le colonel Ange Michel Diatta, commandant du Groupement numéro 1 de Dakar des Sapeurs-pompiers. Qui précise que les accidents à l’origine de ces décès ont eu lieu sur des plages interdites à la baignade.
«La moyenne d’âge des victimes est de 16 ans, confie le colonel Diatta, repris par Vox Populi. Le plus jeune a 7 ans et le plus âgé 23 ans. Les sapeurs-pompiers ont eu à sortir 9 fois, on a eu à traiter ay total 20 victimes, dont 5 ont été sauvées.»
