Un rapport, révélé par Le Parisien, vendredi 22 septembre, de l’Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament (ANSM) sur des travaux de l’équipe du professeur Romain Gherardi (Inserm et centre hospitalier universitaire Henri-Mondor de Créteil, AP-HP) qu’elle a financés vient relancer ce débat, déjà très houleux. Ils montrent, chez la souris, un passage de l’aluminium vers le cerveau.
Dans un avis daté de mars 2017 et qui a été mis en ligne après la parution du Parisien, le conseil scientifique de l’agence conclut que «l’apport de l’étude aux connaissances sur la sécurité des vaccins semble significatif, sans être encore déterminant», et qu’ils doivent être reproduits et approfondis. L’avis pointe les forces et les faiblesses des travaux tout en soulignant «la qualité des équipes» ayant mené les études, qui sont «très reconnues dans leur domaine». Un ton qui n’a pas toujours été celui accueillant les recherches du professeur Gherardi, qu’il mène depuis deux décennies.
Dans la foulée de cet avis du conseil scientifique, une conférence de presse avec l’équipe du professeur Gherardi était organisée par l’association E3M. Cette dernière regroupe des personnes atteintes de myofasciite à macrophages, une maladie complexe qui serait, selon l’association, induite par les adjuvants à base d’aluminium. Elle se traduit entre autres par des douleurs articulaires, une grande fatigue, des troubles cognitifs… A ce jour, 600 cas ont été diagnostiqués par le centre des maladies neuromusculaires de l’hôpital Henri-Mondor.
