Alors qu’ils enchaînent les défaites militaires, le chef jihadiste appelle ses combattants à «résister». Une manière aussi de faire taire les rumeurs.
Cela faisait plus de 10 mois qu’Abou Bakr al-Baghdadi était silencieux. Dix mois durant lesquels l’organisation Etat islamique a enchaîné les féaites militaires, y compris la chute de Mossoul en juillet dernier, où le chef de l’organisation avait proclamé son «califat» en juin 2014 au plus fort des conquêtes de son groupe.
Dans cet enregistrement audio attribué à Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi on l’entend désigner ses ennemis habituels et appeller ses partisans au combat. «Pour moi il ne fait aucun doute que c’est lui qui s’exprime», indique le chercheur et consultant Romain Caillet (*).
