Rappelant l’importance primordiale qu’il accorde au renouveau et à la modernisation du système des transports aériens, dans le cadre du Pse le Président de la République a instruit le Gouvernement de prendre toutes les dispositions requises, en vue de l’inauguration et du fonctionnement effectif de l’Aéroport International Blaise Diagne (Aibd), le 7 décembre 2017.
Il a recommandé à ses collaborateurs de veiller particulièrement à la prise en charge intégrale de toutes les recommandations relatives à la sécurité et à la sûreté aériennes. A ce sujet, il importe à ses yeux d’accroître la professionnalisation de la fonction «sécurité et sûreté aéroportuaires», de renforcer les personnels et les dispositifs de motivation des forces de sécurité mobilisées, et d’envisager le recours complémentaire aux sociétés privées de contrôle de sécurité, à l’image des grands aéroports de classe mondiale. Le communiqué du Conseil des ministres, parvenu à la rédaction, ajoute que Macky Sall a demandé au Premier Ministre de présider, in situ, au courant du mois d’octobre 2017, un Conseil interministériel consacré à l’ouverture et au développement de la plateforme aéroportuaire de Aibd.
En outre, le Président de la République invite le Gouvernement à intensifier la mise en œuvre du programme de rénovation des aéroports régionaux, notamment de Saint-Louis, Matam, Ziguinchor et du Cap Skirring, et à assurer la mise en service prochaine des aéronefs récemment acquis par la nouvelle compagnie aérienne nationale Air Sénégal SA, symbole du renouveau de notre système national de transports aériens.
