Dia, étudiante à l’Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar, a été victime d’un sale coup de la part d’un gérant de Wari à Fann Hock chez qui elle avait l’habitude de se rendre pour récupérer sa bourse universitaire. Le gérant qui détenait toutes les coordonnées de la jeune fille, a retiré, à l’insu de cette dernière, la somme de 108.000 francs Cfa, le rappel de sa bourse. C’est lorsqu’elle a tenté de retirer son argent, qu’il lui a été signifié que c’était déjà fait. La même réponse lui sera servie lors d’une vérification, par Ecobank, rapporte Vox Populi, lu par Actunet.
O. Dia finit par déposer une plainte au commissariat du Point E. L’enquête ouverte a permis de révéler que l’auteur des faits est un certain Bakou, le gérant du Wari de Fann Hock où elle avait l’habitude de retirer sa bourse. Et O. Dia n’était pas la seule victime de Bakou, qui a été arrêté. Le préjudice est estimé à 359.000 francs. «Je crois que c’est son mariage qui l’a poussé à agir ainsi», a tenté de justifier l’employeur du gérant.
