“Le clivage entre Tidianes et et Mourides n’existe pas, c’est une création de l’esprit des hommes”, a rapporté le journal L’As, lu par Actunet. Et il rapporte qu’en quittant Touba pour se rendre à Tivaouane, il a eu le privilège de rencontrer le Khalife général des Mourides.
“Je l’ai informé de ma visite à Tivaouane et il m’a répondu que tout ce que les Talibés viennent chercher à Touba, ils peuvent le trouver à Tivaouane. Et depuis qu’il est là, il n’a jamais cessé, à travers ses paroles et ses actes, à prouver aux gens que le clivage est artificiel. Voilà des choses qui méritent d’être dites dans des évènements de ce genre, pour que les gens sachent que ce clivage n’existe pas. Le Sénégal est soudé par quelque chose de plus fort que les clivages confrériques”, a confié le médecin personnel du Khalife général des Mourides.
