D’après un communiqué, La 30ème Conférence Régionale pour l’Afrique (CRA) de l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’Alimentation et l’Agriculture, débute à Khartoum, Soudan, pour définir un nouveau chemin pour le développement de l’agriculture, la sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle sur le continent pour les deux prochaines années.
« Durant cinq jours, cette rencontre se tiendra sur le thème “Développement durable de l’agriculture et des systèmes alimentaires en Afrique : amélioration des moyens de production et création d’emplois décents et attrayants pour les jeunes » et examinera l’état de l’alimentation et de l’agriculture en Afrique, ainsi que les perspectives d’avenir et les problèmes émergents dans le secteur », précise-t-on dans le document.
Et d’après la source, la conférence abordera également le changement climatique et son impact sur le travail et les activités de la FAO, et renforcera la résilience pour faire face à l’extrême vulnérabilité de l’agriculture africaine et des moyens de subsistance ruraux.
