Le Stade Iba Mar Diop de Dakar a abrité, ce mercredi 21 février 2018 la cérémonie d’ouverture de la 5e édition du festival international soninké (FISO2018). Cette édition qui porte sur le thème : “Wagadu, 1er empire ouest-africaine, hier, aujourd’hui et demain” va se poursuivre jusqu’au 25 février. Le Président Macky Sall, parrain de la 5e édition a marqué sa présence lors de l’ouverture du festival. Il a appelé à sauvegarder nos langues maternelles.
C’est un moment fort pour la communauté Soninké d’ici et d’ailleurs lui permettant de mettre en valeur sa culture et sa contribution dans le développement socio-économique du Sénégal.
En effet, c’est par des défilés traditionnels que les Soninké ont revalorisé leur culturel devant le président de la République, qui a exprimé toute sa gratitude et sa fierté auprès de cette communauté calme, travailleuse, digne, sincère et fidèle en amitié, comme il a eu à le souligné.
