Au-delà de la musique, Aby Ndour est dans la politique, militante du Ps. Elle vient aussi de créer un mouvement dénommé « J’aime Dakar ».
Elle a fait l’annonce au cours de l’ouverture de sa nouvelle boutique de vêtements traditionnels, sur l’avenue Bourguiba, en présence de ses proches et membres de sa famille, dont Youssou Ndour.
« Quand je choisis le nom de « j’aime Dakar » pour mon mouvement, cela ne veut pas dire qu’il s’intéresse uniquement à la région de Dakar. Par contre, il est élargi et ouvert à toutes les régions du Sénégal et la diaspora », dit-elle à L’Observateur.
Non sans préciser qu’à travers cette entité, son ambition est de créer 1000 emplois entre 2018 et 2020. « Avec ma moindre notoriété dans ce pays, je me suis dit qu’il est normal de rassembler les femmes et les jeunes pour faire de l’émergence une réalité. Je suis Sénégalaise et je pense que chaque citoyen doit jouer sa partition pour le développement du pays », justifie la frangine Ndour.
