Une centaine de personnes ont été interpellées et des engins explosifs neutralisés lors d’opérations de ratissage dans les régions de l’Est et du Nord du Burkina Faso, en proie à des attaques jihadistes récurrentes, a annoncé samedi l’état-major des armées burkinabè.
« Du 19 au 27 avril 2018, les forces armées nationales ont conduit des opérations de bouclage le long de la bande frontalière Nord du territoire (qui) ont permis l’interpellation d’une centaine de personnes suspectes, l’arrestation d’individus recherchés ainsi que la neutralisation d’engins explosifs », a annoncé l’état-major dans un communiqué.
« Le même type d’opération a été mené à l’Est, dans les forêts de Nakortougou et Foutouri. Elles ont conduit à l’interpellation d’individus et à la saisie de matériels », poursuit le communiqué sans plus de précisions.
