Ziguinchor, 25 fév (APS) – Le cancer des enfants a atteint ’’des proportions inquiétantes’’ au Sénégal, a déclaré à Ziguinchor (sud) le président du Lions Club Sénégal Amadou Bouya Diaw.
’’Nous parlons beaucoup du cancer des femmes au Sénégal. Mais il y a un mal plus dangereux qui est en train de ronger nos enfants dans un silence total. Il s’agit du cancer pédiatrique qui est en train d’atteindre des proportions inquiétantes dans le pays’’, a regretté M. Diaw.
Il s’exprimait samedi à Ziguinchor au cours d’une cérémonie de remise de cadeaux aux enfants souffrant de maladies chroniques au service pédiatrique du Centre hospitalier régional de Ziguinchor en présence des parents et des responsables de cette structure de soins.
