Depuis l’avènement du Président Macky Sall à la magistrature suprême en 2012, la région de la Casamance a connu une accalmie comme cela n’a jamais été le cas depuis le début des hostilités en 1982 dans cette partie du Sénégal. Tout a coïncidé d’avec la tuerie dans la foret de Boffa du 6 janvier qui avait vu 16 jeunes coupeurs de bois tués. Quelques temps après,l’armée nationale avait lancé une vaste opération de ratissage et de sécurisation qui avait abouti au démantèlement de plusieurs « bases » rebelles supposées appartenir au MFDC. Depuis lors, c’est comme si la trève tacite a été rompue car en l’espace de deux mois, le Nyassa a enregistré deux braquages et un attentat avec une perte en vie humaine.
Il y a juste quelques jours, Afriquemidi.com annonçait en exclusivité le braquage de Kaguitte où des assaillants armés avaient coupé la route, dépouillant au passage, les automobilistes et motocyclistes qui avaient la malchance de tomber dans le traquenard. Durant ce braquage, les bandits se sont emparés des bijoux, téléphones, motos, argent et effets personnels des victimes avant de disparaître tranquillement dans la nature.
Auparavant, au mois de Mars, un premier braquage avait eu lieu sur le même tronçon notamment à Baffikan où malheureusement, il a été noté une perte en vie humaine et des blessés.
Selon notre correspondant dans la région, c’est dans la nuit du mercredi au jeudi qu’une forte déflagration a été entendue jusqu’aux environs de Ziguinchor mais, ce ne sera qu’au petit matin que les populations seront édifiées sur la nature de cette forte explosion.
