Le premier réseau des femmes syndicalistes de Côte d’Ivoire (REFSY-CI) a été créé il y a quelques jours pour défendre les travailleuses. A sa tête, une femme !
Pour la première fois en Côte d’Ivoire, un syndicat pour le droit des travailleuses issues de l’administration, du milieu agricole et du secteur informel a vu le jour. « Amour, solidarité, justice », telle est la devise de ce réseau présidé par une femme : Mariatou Guiehoa.
Cette militante pour la cause des femmes depuis plusieurs années espère à travers cette initiative « porter haut [les] préoccupations [des femmes] auprès des pouvoirs publics », a-t-elle rapporté à l’AFP, estimant que ces dernières sont « reléguées au second plan ». Tandis que pour la ministre de la solidarité, de la femme et de la protection de l’enfant, Mariatou Koné, le syndicat représente « une avancée dans la politique de promotion de la femme » et « un puissant instrument de négociation sociale qui favorisera le dialogue constructif, à l’exclusion de la violence ».
