L’évolution de la situation du système bancaire de l’Union au cours du quatrième trimestre de l’année 2017 a été marquée par une hausse des emplois et des ressources, avec un creusement du déficit structurel de trésorerie.
Entre septembre et novembre 2017, note le Rapport sur la Politique Monétaire dans l’UMOA Mars 2018les emplois du système bancaire se sont accrus de 711,8 milliards (+2,5%) pour s’établir à 29.181,3 milliards. Cette évolution résulte d’une hausse des crédits de 525,4 milliards (+3,0%) et des autres emplois de 186,4 milliards (+1,7%). Au niveau des autres emplois, les titres de placement sont demeurés quasiment stables, en passant d’un encours de 7.491,0 milliards à fin septembre 2017 à 7.542,7 milliards à fin novembre 2017 (+0,7%). 125.
Sur la même période, les ressources ont progressé de 259,6 milliards (+1,0%) pour se situer à 26.038,4 milliards à fin novembre 2017. Cet accroissement provient essentiellement d’une augmentation des diverses ressources de 148,1 milliards (+8,1%) et des fonds propres nets de 59,7 milliards (+2,5%).
