Il a prononcé une communication sur sur « Les politiques du Gouvernement ivoirien en matière de Formation Professionnelle et Technique ». Ci-dessous, un large extrait de son intervention.
« Je voudrais, avant tout propos, exprimer mes sincères remerciements et ma profonde gratitude à la Commission Education, Communication et Affaires Culturelles de l’Assemblée Parlementaire de la Francophonie, et plus particulièrement à son Président, Monsieur Didier BERBERAT, pour l’opportunité qui m’est offerte ce jour de communiquer sur « Les politiques du Gouvernement ivoirien en matière de Formation Professionnelle et Technique ».
En effet, la problématique de l’emploi des jeunes continue d’être au cœur des préoccupations des dirigeants dans le monde et plus particulièrement en Afrique. C’est bien à propos que le 5èmesommet Union Africaine – Union Européenne, tenu à Abidjan les 29 et 30 novembre, a porté sur le thème « Investir dans la jeunesse pour un avenir durable ».
En Côte d’Ivoire, l’une des options de développement prises par le Gouvernement, est la transformation structurelle de l’économie. Pour y arriver, la mise à disposition d’un capital humain adéquat s’avère indispensable. Dès lors, il est légitime de s’interroger sur la contribution au processus de développement de nos pays, de la Formation professionnelle dont les principales missions sont (i) de répondre aux besoins en formation professionnelle des populations et (ii) de pourvoir aux besoins en main-d’œuvre qualifiée de l’économie pour plus de compétitivité.
