La police ghanéenne recherche activement sept hommes accusés de vol à main armée qui se sont échappés de prison à la suite d’une attaque contre un poste de police.
Les assaillants n’ont pas encore été identifiés.
Mais selon la police, il s’agit d’un groupe d’hommes armés qui ont attaqué dimanche matin le quartier général du district de police de Kwabenya avec l’objectif de libérer des détenus en garde à vue.
Le policier de service mortellement blessé lors de cette attaque a succombé à ses blessures quelques heures plus tard.
Dans la foulée, six Ghanéens et un Nigérian se sont échappés.
La police a publié des photos des évadés et exhorte le public à prévenir les forces de l’ordre pour leur arrestation.
Les hommes armés qui ont mené l’attaque sont toujours en fuite.
Ce dernier incident a une nouvelle fois soulevé des inquiétudes quant à l’état d’insécurité dans le pays.
