Augusto Antonio Artur Silva, a été nommé Premier ministre par décret présidentiel 15 jours après la démission d’ Umaro Sissoko Embalo , qui a occupé le poste pendant un an.
Dans son décret, le président de la République José Mario Vaz a indiqué que la nomination M. Silva mettra fin à la crise politique qui secoue le pays depuis plus de deux ans.
l’ancien ministre des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération internationale, des Pêches , de l’Education nationale sera chargé de former un gouvernement inclusif pour tenter de sortir le pays d’une longue crise politique.
