Le Garde des Sceaux, ministre de la Justice, Ismaïla Madior Fall s’est prononcé sur le projet de loi relatif à la modification constitutionnelle et électorale. Selon lui, il s’agit, notamment, d’introduire un système de parrainage en vue de mettre fin à une discrimination entre les candidats, rationaliser les candidatures et faciliter l’organisation des élections
“Après la concertation avec des partis politiques sur le processus électoral, le chef de l’Etat, sur la base des conclusions du rapport qui lui a été remis par l’Ambassadeur Seydou Nourou Bâ, a procédé à un arbitrage et il a fait le choix de saisir le parlement afin d’adopter le système de parrainage”, a-t-il d’emblée, expliqué.
Selon le ministre de la Justice, ce choix du président de la République consiste à introduire un système de «parrainage citoyen” pour le renforcement de la démocratie. “Désormais, le système de parrainage va s’appliquer à tous les candidats indépendants ou des partis politiques légalement constitués”, a-t-il indiqué et il s’est empressé d’ajouter que ” cela va mettre fin à une discrimination à l’égard des candidats indépendants”.
