Dakar, 19 mars (APS) – Le chef de l’Etat Macky Sall a invité les enseignants à reprendre les cours, en vue de préserver “le leadership international de l’école sénégalaise et des structures universitaires nationales”, rapporte lundi le communiqué du Conseil des ministres.Macky Sall, présidant la réunion hebdomadaire du gouvernement, a invité “les enseignants à reprendre les cours, afin de préserver la qualité de la formation et des diplômes ainsi que le leadership international de l’école sénégalaise et des structures universitaires nationales”.
A cette occasion, il a demandé “à tous les acteurs du secteur de l’éducation de cultiver en permanence le dialogue, le sens des responsabilités en tenant compte des importants efforts consentis par le gouvernement”.
Dans ce cadre, il a salué, selon le communiqué du Conseil des ministres, “les accords conclus, sous l’égide du Premier Ministre, entre le gouvernement et les syndicats d’enseignants notamment du supérieur”, concernant la question de la retraite de ces derniers.
Il a rappelé, selon la même source, son attachement au “respect scrupuleux des engagements à matérialiser, dans les meilleurs délais, selon le calendrier d’exécution fixé”.
Le gouvernement a entamé des négociations avec les syndicats d’enseignants au sujet de leurs revendications, mais ces discussions ont achoppé vendredi dernier sur la question de l’indemnité de logement.
Selon le ministre de l’Education nationale, Serigne Mbaye Thiam, le gouvernement a proposé 75 mille francs CFA mensuels par enseignant, un montant qu’il ne compte pas dépasser, au grand dam des enseignants qui en réclament plus.
Le Premier ministre a proposé, aux plateformes des organisations syndicales des enseignants, la mise en place d’un dispositif de monitoring stratégique en vue de “liquider toutes les questions en suspens”.
