Les défis et exigences de Mamadou Faye pour réussir sa mission

Le nouveau président de la Cour des comptes a été installé hier. Mamadou Faye promet l’augmentation des nombres de rapports et leur publication à date échue. Pour réussir sa mission, le successeur de Mamadou Hady Sarr, président sortant, réclame un siège et un effectif suffisant.

 

Mamadou Faye a été installé hier, dans ses fonctions de nouveau président de la Cour des comptes. Lors de la cérémonie qui s’est déroulée à l’immeuble Fayçal, le successeur de Hady Sarr s’est engagé ‘’à ne ménager aucun effort pour amener la juridiction financière à poursuivre dans l’indépendance et la compétence ses actions multiformes de promotion et de transparence dans la gestion des finances publiques’’. Dans cette dynamique, M. Faye se fixe comme première priorité de multiplier les rapports. Il estime que leur production doit être augmentée étant entendu que c’est une exigence de la reddition des comptes. Outre le nombre, la qualité doit également être améliorée et les délais de publication respectés.

Selon le nouveau président, ‘’il ne sert absolument à rien d’attendre des années pour sortir des rapports qui datent de 4 ans, 5 ou 6 ans’’. Au passage, il a souligné que les retards accusés dans la publication du rapport public général est une faute de la Cour. ‘’Il va falloir que nous travaillions davantage pour faire des rapports à bonne date. Nous espérons trouver une solution définitive aux difficultés rencontrées à assurer une production régulière’’, promet le magistrat. Cependant, pour réussir ses missions, le nouveau président estime que l’institution a besoin ‘’d’un siège moderne et fonctionnel, d’un effectif suffisant et de haut niveau ainsi que des moyens matériels adéquats’’.
