Philippe Charuel, 60 ans, agent commercial à Annecy, a été élu Grand Maître de la Grande Loge de France (GLDF), le 20 juin 2015, au second jour du Convent annuel organisé à Paris. Il a fallu deux tours de scrutin pour départager les quatre candidats: Philippe Charuel, Jean-Marie Doumbé, Jean-Raphaël Notton et Jean-Pierre Testori. Charuel a affronté au second tour Jean-Pierre Testori et a obtenu 56,8% des suffrages. Au 1er tour, Charuel a réalisé le score de 35,1%, Testori 33,1%, Notton 25% et Doumbé 6,8%.
