Dédié à une femme, ce Magal revêt dans la sociologie de la vie religieuse des sénégalais un caractère particulier d’autant qu’il exalte les vertus d’une croyante qui a voué son existence à l’adoration de son seigneur. Porokhane, une petite localité du Saloum sorti de l’anonymat par l’aura de Mame Diarra, draine à chaque édition des centaines de milliers de fidèles venus des quatre coins du monde.
