L’ancien international allemand Thomas Berthold a loué la qualité de Lionel Messi malgré la prestation de haut rang de son meilleur ennemi mardi soir en quarts de finale aller de la Ligue des champions face à la Juventus.
C’est compliqué de défendre Lionel Messi après avoir assisté au récital offensif de son meilleur ennemi de ces dix dernières années Cristiano Ronaldo, qui a encore régalé tout son monde en mettant à genoux la Juventus Turin avec un but venu tout droit du futur. Cependant, cette action de grande classe n’a pas convaincu la planète football toute entière, dont certains pensent toujours que la ‘Pulga’ est toujours au-dessus de l’astre portugais qui file vers une nouvelle demi-finale de la Ligue des champions.
C’est d’ailleurs le cas de l’ancien international allemand Thomas Berthold, qui a défendu par le passé les couleurs de l’AS Roma et qui s’est exprimé avant ce choc entre les deux clubs européens qui va opposer Barcelone à la ‘Louve’.
“Cristiano Ronaldo ? Je crois que Messi est plus complet”, a commencé a déclaré l’ancien joueur sur ‘RMC Sport’. Berthold a d’ailleurs ajouté que Leo Messi était difficile à marquer individuellement et qu’il valait mieux le suivre de près. “C’est mieux qu’il ne touche pas le ballon”, a commenté l’Allemand.
L’ancien international de la ‘Mannschaft’ a rappelé que la Roma n’avait rien à perdre face à un adversaire qui lui est supérieur et a conseillé à son ancien club de procéder en “contre-attaques efficaces”.
