Après sa marche du 9 février dernier, l’opposition réunie au sein de l’Initiative pour des élections démocratiques (IED) veut retourner dans la rue le 9 mars prochain. Cette fois-ci, c’est pour un rassemblement qu’elle envisage de tenir devant le ministère de l’Intérieur, plus précisément sur la place Washington, à 11h du matin. Le message qu’elle entend faire passer, c’est que le ministre de l’Intérieur Aly Ngouye Ndiaye n’organise pas les élections et qu’une Autorité indépendante s’en occupe. En fait, ces opposants digèrent mal les propos du ministre qui a assumé son appartenance au parti présidentiel et sa détermination à œuvrer pour la réélection du Président Sall.
Pour l’IED, avec cette sortie, Aly Ngouille Ndiaye a clos le débat sur qui doit organiser les prochaines élections. ‘’Nous nous félicitons de son propos franc et direct qui a eu le mérite de porter le contentieux sur l’organisation des élections à un niveau qui met désormais en première ligne le Président Macky Sall lui-même’’, soutiennent les opposants. Par conséquent, ils font savoir que le Président Sall est à présent attendu sur la réponse à apporter en termes de satisfaction de la demande juste et légitime de l’opposition d’une Autorité indépendante chargée d’organiser les élections.
