Le secrétaire général du Syndicat unique des travailleurs de la santé et de l’action sociale (Sutsas), Mballo Dia Thiam, s’est expliqué sur les grèves que dirigent les syndicalistes.
Pour Mballo Dia Thiam, il n’y a rien de plus normal que des syndicalistes qui vont en grève pour la défense de leurs intérêts. « Le syndicaliste a le droit de se lever pour de l’argent, parce que nous ne sommes pas des associations religieuses, ou des partis politiques, nous sommes des syndicats pour la défense de nos intérêts matériels et moraux. On ne peut pas vivre que de dignité. Nous avons nos maisons à entretenir. Nous avons des familles et des besoins… On ne peut pas dire qu’on a signé le serment d’Hippocrate et qu’on ne nous donne rien en retour. C’est pas possible », a-t-il dit sans ambages.
Il renchérit : « Les syndicalistes ne vont pas en grève sans raison ou pour quémander de l’argent. Ils ne demandent que leur dû. La grève est quelque chose de difficile pour le travailleur. Même son organisation est difficile. On ne va donc pas en grève pour le simple plaisir », a argué Mballo Dia Thiam au nom des syndicalistes.
Ce dont-il se désole dans cette triste affaire, c’est que « au Sénégal, quand tu ne va pas en grève, on ne te donne rien ».
