Réuni en séance ordinaire, le SEP de BBY a examiné, entre autres questions, la situation nationale. Ainsi, relativement à l’audit du fichier, le SEP de BBY s’est félicité de la conduite des travaux par un groupe d’experts composé d’africains et d’européens, dont certains ont déjà effectué la même mission pour les mêmes besoins, en 2010 au Sénégal.
A cet effet, le comité de pilotage dudit audit, présidé par un membre de la CENA et composé des trois pôles politiques (majorité, opposition et non alignés), de la société civile et de l’administration (ministères de l’intérieur et de la justice), a été mis en place avec comme observateurs des représentants de la communauté internationale.
Tout comme l’audit du fichier, BBY encourage la poursuite des concertations sur le processus électoral et souhaite que les différents acteurs du jeu politique aboutissent à des conclusions consensuelles pour des élections démocratiques, libres et transparentes dont les résultats seront incontestables.
Au plan politique, la Coalition de la Majorité, BBY, appelle les populations à une forte mobilisation afin de réserver un accueil chaleureux au Président de la République de France, M. Emmanuel Macron, à l’occasion de sa visite officielle au Sénégal, du 1er au 03 février 2018.
A ce sujet, BBY s’insurge contre le comportement antirépublicain de la déclaration du Comité Directeur du PDS appelant à des sabotages de ladite visite.
Cet appel, en effet, est une première de la part d’un Parti de l’opposition, depuis que notre pays a accédé à la souveraineté internationale. Quelle mouche a piqué le PDS, pourrait-on se demander ? Car, pour avoir exercé le pouvoir pendant douze (12) ans, rien, absolument rien ne pouvait laisser penser que ce parti aurait pu tomber dans un tel travers consistant à appeler à SABOTER LA VISITE D’UN HOTE DE LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU SENEGAL.
