SenePlus publie ci-dessous, l’intégralité du communiqué du MFDC, daté du 07 janvier 2018, suite à l’attaque meurtrière de Boffa intervenue la veille.
“Suite à l’évènement tragique qui a eu lieu hier dans la forêt du Bayotte, le Mouvement des Forces Démocratiques de la Casamance (MFDC) condamne fermement cet acte et présente ses condoléances aux familles éplorées.
Cependant, le MFDC précise qu’il est entrain de suivre et d’écouter comme tout le monde tous les commentaires relatifs à ce douloureux évènement.
A cet effet le MFDC déplore le fait que certains acteurs de paix à l’image de Saliou Sambou du GRPC de Robert Sagna tiennent les combattants pour responsables de ce massacre. Dans ce même ordre le MFDC n’apprécie pas le fait que certaines radios accusent subtilement les combattants en utilisant le terme « d’individus supposés appartenir au MFDC », c’est une accusation qui ne dit pas son nom car tout individu armé n’appartient pas automatiquement au MFDC.
Le MFDC demande aux journalistes qui utilisent ce terme de dire d’où est ce qu’ils puisent leur suspicion. De telles accusations ne sauraient prospérer.
Concernant l’origine ou les causes de cette tragédie, le MFDC demande aux autorités sénégalaises, d’orienter leurs enquêtes vers le gouverneur de la région de Ziguinchor, le chef du service régional des eaux et foret, le commandant de la légion gendarmerie sud et le procureur de la république en poste à Ziguinchor. Ces derniers sont à la tête d’un vaste réseau de coupe clandestine et de vente illicite du bois de tek en provenance de la forêt du Bayotte.
En effet les coupeurs de bois opèrent de nuit comme de jour sous la complicité des agents des eaux et forêts et de la gendarmerie. Tous les troncs coupés sont vendus en plein jour et sans aucune inquiétude dans la commune de Ziguinchor.
Les agents du service des eaux et forêts sont au courant de la création de deux scieries à Kenia dans la commune de Ziguinchor.
Ils savent mieux que quiconque que ces deux unités se mènent une forte concurrence qui a fini par instaurer une atmosphère d’animosité entre leurs employés…
Les propriétaires de ces scieries disposent de plusieurs dizaines de charrettes et remettent une moto Jakarta toute neuve à celui qui les livrera 40 troncs de teck, ils remettent de l’argent aux agents des eaux et forêts qui tous les soirs passent récupérer leur paye au niveau de chaque scierie.
En Somme le manque de fermeté de l’autorité administrative en l’occurrence le gouverneur et la complicité des agents des eaux et forêts et de la gendarmerie ont eu pour conséquence la mort dans des conditions non encore élucidées des jeunes coupeurs clandestins de bois.
