Des enfants sont devenus des mendiants dans les rues alors que leurs places étaient à l’école. Le sort des filles n’est pas plus enviable. Elles sont pour beaucoup contraintes de se marier en bas âge.
7 000 nouveau-nés meurent chaque jour selon l’UNICEF. Cela signifie que pendant que vous lisez ces lignes, une jeune maman pleure la perte de son enfant. Une famille est endeuillée. Et une autre. Et encore une autre. Le nombre de ces décès est difficile à appréhender. Cela est dû aux mauvais systèmes de santé de nos Etats. Les femmes n’ont pas un bon suivi de leurs grossesses. Certaines maladies profitent donc, et détruisent à petit feu des familles, des nations entières.
