Les 600 hectares qu’occupent actuellement l’aéroport de Dakar-Yoff laisseront progressivement place aux immeubles à usage commercial, aux bureaux, aux bâtiments pour habitation et aussi aux espaces verts. C’est L’agence de promotion des investissements et des grands travaux du Sénégal (APIX) qui se chargera du suivi des travaux. Le représentant de l’APIX a révélé que «la Caisse de dépôt et de gestion du (CDG) du Maroc et la Caisse de dépôt et de consignation (CDC) du Sénégal ont déjà cofinancé à hauteur de 50% chacune les études de faisabilité». Estimé à des centaines de milliards de dollars, le projet attendra encore quelques années, peut être une dizaine avant de prendre forme. APIX rassure toute de même qu’une «une rencontre de restitution allait être tenue incessamment » pour clarifier l’opinion nationale et internationale sur l’avancée du projet et sur les aspects techniques y afférentes.Face à l’essoufflement économique des pays développés et au ralentissement de la croissance des pays émergents, les pays africains continuent d’afficher une croissance soutenue faisant du continent l’un des principaux moteurs de la croissance mondiale.
