Quelque 8160 civils ainsi que 3949 militaires et paramilitaires vont participer ce mercredi au défilé commémorant le 58ème anniversaire de la fête de notre indépendance nationale, à Dakar, a-t-on appris de sources sécuritaires. Neuf aéronefs, 385 véhicules, 94 motos, 75 chevaux et 25 quads seront également mobilisés pour ce défilé qui va se dérouler sur le Boulevard du Général de Gaulle, précise-t-on des mêmes sources.
Le public sera accueilli dès 7 heures sur les lieux du défilé, précise la Direction des relations publiques des Forces armées (Dirpa). Les festivités marquant l’anniversaire de l’indépendance du Sénégal vont porter cette année sur le thème : «Contribution des forces de défense et de sécurité à la paix et à la stabilité internationale». La manifestation sera présidée par le chef de l’État Macky Sall, attendu à partir de 10 heures à la Place Nation (exObélisque), où il sera précédé par les plus hautes autorités civiles et militaires.
