800 millions de FCFA sont quotidiennement injectés dans la campagne de commercialisation de l’arachide. Un tel montant mérite des éclaircissements de la part du DG de la Sonacos et du ministre de l’Agriculture, Dr Papa Abdoulaye Seck. Depuis 2 mois, aucun franc n’a été remis par la Sonacos aux opérateurs.
Le président des opérateurs privés stockeurs-transporteurs, Modou Fall, l’Etat du Sénégal leur doit 16 milliards 700 millions FCFA. Une somme qui bloque les achats du reste de la production arachidière.
Comme souligné dans les colonnes de L’Obs, ces producteurs « ont contracté des crédits auprès des institutions financières avec des intérêts. » Et ceci, à comprendre Modou Fall, est dû au fait que la Sonacos leur doit de l’argent.
