La session ordinaire du conseil municipal de Thiès a été reportée à jeudi prochain à partir de 10 heures pour défaut de quorum, a constaté l’Aps. Sur 80 conseillers, seuls 10 ont répondu à la convocation. Le conseil devait faire la présentation du plan de développement de la ville (Pdv), débattre des orientations budgétaires et de la rationalisation des commissions du conseil de ville.
La session ordinaire de la ville de Thiès du 25 février dernier avait été également reportée, faute de quorum qui n’était pas atteint. Le maire Talla Sylla a déploré cette situation qui, selon lui, crée un blocage dans le fonctionnement du conseil municipal. «Le développement de la ville concerne tous les conseillers municipaux. Nous sommes au nombre de 80 sur 388.000 habitants. Nous étions portés à la tête de cette institution pour travailler pour le compte des Thièssois», a-t-il dit. Mais, à en croire le maire de Thiès, «à chaque fois qu’on convoque des rencontres, les conseillers ne viennent pas».
