Les sénateurs mauritaniens dont Bouamatou ont plus de chance que le maire de Dakar de Dakar -Khalifa Sall- dont la demande de liberté d’office a été rejetée par la chambre d’accusation. En Mauritanie, Bounamatou et les autres sénateurs contre qui le procureur de Nouakchott avait demandé leur placement, ont eu raison sur lui devant la chambre d’accusation de la Cour d’Appel de la capitale de la Mauritanie. Devant cette juridiction, le parquet a été débouté. Mais la chambre a validé le mandat d’arrêt lancé contre Mohamed Ould Bouamatou, le milliardaire mauritanien en exil au Maroc.
