Le ministre des Forces armées, Augustin Tine, a reconstitué les faits ayant abouti à la mort de l’étudiant Fallou Sène dans des affrontements entre forces de l’ordre et pensionnaires de l’Université Gaston Berger (Ugb) de Saint-Louis. Le ministre rapporte que les étudiants avaient décidé d’aller au restaurant sans bourse délier.
«Naturellement le recteur, en responsable, a demandé à signer une réquisition pour la gendarmerie pour qu’elle vienne assurer la sécurité au niveau des restaurants», détaille Tine. Malheureusement, poursuit-il, les étudiants ont campé sur leurs positions et décidé de s’attaquer aux forces de l’ordre.
«Le commandant des opérations, étant encerclé, a senti que ses hommes étaient en danger et il y a eu une réaction qui a causé la mort de l’étudiant Fallou Sène», détaille le ministre des Forces armées. Qui a regretté l’incident et appelé au calme.
