Un drame a eu lieu, hier, devant le mausolée de Serigne Sidy Mokhtar Mbacké. Un nourrisson, de 2 mois et demi, est mort à la suite d’une bousculade devant l’endroit ou le saint homme a été inhumé. La maman du bébé s’est retrouvée grièvement blessée.
Le drame touche la famille Gningue qui habite le sous-quartier Touba Santiane. Sa maman, âgée de 33 ans, en apprenant le rappel à Dieu de Serigne Sidy Mokhtar s’est rendu, au petit matin, devant le mausolée du saint homme, à Gouy Mbind.
Malheureusement, quand, ayant son bébé sur son dos, elle s’est mêlée à la marrée humaine, une bousculade est survenue du fait du nombre trop important de personnes qui voulaient s’approcher du Mausolée. C’est ce qui a coûté la vie au bébé qui a été piétiné dans la bousculade. Le bébé a été retrouvé mort alors que sa mère s’en est sortie avec des blessures. Les secours n’ont pu rien faire.
