La gendarmerie de Kolda a coupé une chaîne de production de cannabis, détruisant deux champs de six hectares près de Boukiling. Au moment où la fête de la saint sylvestre battait son plein, les pandores de Kolda qui ont été informés de l’existence de ce champ se sont déplacés à Boukiling où ils ont procédé à la destruction des champs. Ne pouvant pas emporter toute la drogue, ils ont mis sous scellé un échantillon comme pièce à conviction avant de brûler le reste sur place. Pour l’instant, les propriétaires des champs sont dans la nature. Ce n’est pas la première fois que des champs de culture de chanvre indien sont détruits en Casamance. A Afia Bamba, les mêmes éléments de la brigade de gendarmerie de Kolda ont eu à y détruire des champs mettant la main sur un homme et son fils.
