Le risque n’est pas aussi important qu’on le prétende. Sur la dette, les pays africains ne sont pas tellement en défaut. Malgré toute la théorie qui est faite autour de la dette sur le continent… Même sur les projets de partenariat, le risque est très acceptable comparé à ce qui se fait ailleurs dans le monde… Il faut que le forum réfléchisse sur comment ramener le risque à sa juste proportion», a dit le chef de l’Etat, hier lundi, à Dakar, à l’occasion de la cérémonie d’ouverture du troisième Forum Investir en Afrique qu’il a présidé.
Pour rappel, pas plus tard que la semaine passée, le Fmi, qui a bouclé une mission au Sénégal, a alerté sur l’alourdissement de la dette publique. Itou pour la Banque mondiale qui était parvenue aux mêmes conclusions dans un rapport publié en avril 2017. Le Fmi a milité pour la réduction des projets d’investissement financés sur ressources propres qui n’ont pas été évaluées par la banque intégrée de projets et une stricte limitation des financements nets du Trésor aux opérations budgétaires de l’année en cours.
