Condamnée à 20 ans de prison en première instance, Fabienne Kabou, la Sénégalaise qui a provoqué la mort de sa fille de 15 mois en l’abandonnant sur la plage de Berck-sur-mer, en France, est jugée en appel depuis vendredi.
“Je plaide non coupable”, a-t-elle déclaré à l’ouverture du procès qui va durer six jours. “J’estime que quelque chose ou quelqu’un a agi en moi pour assassiner ma fille, a-t-elle avancé à l’audience. Un peu comme si quelqu’un avait commandité sa mort, par mes mains, et en faisant d’une pierre deux coups, puisqu’il a aussi ruiné ma vie.”
Kabou risque la perpétuité. Son avocate, Me Fabienne Roy-Nansion, avait jugé “effrayant” le verdict prononce en première instance contre sa cliente qu’elle juge “malade”.
