L’ancien rappeur Makhtar «Le Cagoulard» a tenu à donner un coup de main à Assane Diouf lorsqu’il a été arrêté aux Etats-Unis dans le cadre d’une procédure d’immigration. Il a casqué les 5000 dollars (plus de 3 millions de francs Cfa) ayant servi à payer l’avocat qui s’est chargé du dossier de l’immigré rapatrié il y a une semaine.
Au même moment, une campagne de levée de fonds est lancée sur le web pour rassembler les fonds nécessaires pour supporters les honoraires de l’avocat ; ce dernier «exigeait d’être payé en intégralité avant de toucher le dossier». Cette initiative étant aléatoire, il fallait trouver quelqu’un pour avancer le montant.
Mais Makhtar a failli payé cher. Il a été accusé d’être de mèche avec l’avocat en question pour précipiter le rapatriement d’Assane Diouf. «Ces accusations sont de Françoise Hélène Gaye, tonne l’ex-membre du groupe de rap Rapadio. Elle n’avait d’autre choix que de me mettre en mal avec les gens, Je n’ai parlé avec l’avocat qu’une seule fois. C’était pour savoir comment lui faire parvenir les 5000 dollars. Je ne l’ai pas embauché et n’ai pas cherché à savoir ce qui a conduit à son embauche.»
Assane Diouf a été expulsé des Etats-Unis. Makhtar a recouvré les 5000 dollars qu’il avait avancés, «jusqu’au plus petit centime». Sa religion est faite au sujet de «l’insulteur de Facebook» : «Assane Diouf ne mérite pas l’attention des Sénégalais. Il n’est pas quelqu’un de bien.»
