Prévue du 19 au 21 mai au Centre culturel Blaise Senghor et à l’Institut français de Dakar, la 9ème édition du festival Kaay fecc rend hommage à une grande dame de la danse africaine, Germaine Acogny. Sous la direction artistique de Gacirah Diagne, le festivalse déroulera cette année sur le thème «Résilience». Durant 3 jours à Dakar, une quinzaine de compagnies de danse professionnelles présentent leur travail dans les genres traditionnel, contemporain, hip hop et danses urbaines. Pour cette 9ème édition, des artistes du Sénégal, duBurkina Faso, duTogo, deCôte d’Ivoire, de France, d’Allemagne et de Lituanie, présenteront des créations de danses traditionnelle, contemporaine et hip hop ; des activités off : masterclasses, ateliers à destination des enfants, conférence – débat, projections de films sur la danse. Le festival abrite également la 1ère édition du Battle national Sabar.
